Happy Thanksgiving!

Rest day..

"BREAK THE FAST BEFORE THE FEAST. Skipping breakfast Thanksgiving morning to cut Calories might sound like a good idea in theory, but it doesn't work in practice. The ratio of fat mass to muscle mass in our bodies is controlled by a complex blood sugar monitoring system in our brains that sends and receives signals about our hunger and fullness levels. Skipping breakfast equals low blood sugar. Message received by body: "Build up fat storage because I don't know when I'm getting fed again." Eating a well-rounded breakfast with some protein, fiber & carbs (eggs, apples, oats, yogurt, peanut butter, whole wheat toast) equals a half full tank of gas. Message received by body: "I'm getting fed on a regular schedule, so I can process out the Thanksgiving turkey & potatoes like any other meal."
