Rest Day.
Nutrition tip of the week:
ARM UP FROM THE INSIDE OUT.
Inside our bodies and outside in our environments, there is a continual interaction between healthy cells and harmful molecules called free radicals.
Free radicals are charged, unstable atoms or molecular fragments that seek out healthy cells to grab onto in their quest to become stable. This process is why iron rusts, apples turn brown, and oils go bad. Our cells' natural defense against these free radicals are called antioxidants, and they're found in fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts, spices like cinnamon & oregano.
According to sports nutritionists, athletes might need to eat up to 3 times more antioxidants than non-athletes because of the high rate of oxygen turnover that athletes experience during exercise.
